Little Princess Pageant

The Little Princess Pageant will be held on
SATURDAY AT 11 AM

September 27, 2008
Glass & Ethnic Festival Little Princess Contest Rules:

1. You must be between the ages of 4-6. Please bring a copy of your birth certificate to prove your age. Must be given at 1st practice.
2. You must have a current Mt. Pleasant address or live in Mt. Pleasant School District at least 50% of the time. Please bring some form of proof of residency. Must be given at 1st practice.
3. You will compete in Beauty/Formalwear, Photogenic, & On-Stage Interview.
4. There will be a Winner, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up. If the winner cannot perform their duties the 1st runner up will take over the duties of the winner.
5. The judge’s scores are final.
6. Due to limited space, the contestants are taken on a first come first serve basis.
7. The Little Princess Pageant will take place on the Saturday of the Glass Festival at 11 AM. Contestants are expected to be at the gazebo no later than 10:30 AM.
8. Contestants numbers will be drawn at one of the first few practices. Contestants’ placement in the line up has no bearing on the judges’ scores. Judges score each girl individually during all phases of competition.
9. A $5 donation is requested from each girl to help cover the cost of the pageant. However, no contestant will be excluded from participation in the pageant due to the inability to pay.
10.Contestants who do not participate in the pageant itself for ANY REASON, will not be eligible to win any title including Little Miss Photogenenic.
11. Sportsmanship is a must!!!!!
12. A photogenic winner will be chosen and it is separate but may be any contestant.
13. The contestants are required to be in the parade as the winner, runner up, or the court unless discussed at an earlier time.
14. The young lady that is crowned must attend each and every event as a representative of the Glass & Ethnic Festival. If you are unable to attend something you should contact Jeff in advance.
15. The winners will be expected to attend the Glass Festival weekend all day on Saturday, and Sunday and being dressed appropriately.
16. You will always check in to see what you are to do. She is to know where you are at all times. Parents are welcome to observe but are not to expected to be included in the girls’ appearances. They are the representatives of the festival!
17. For parades or appearances you are to contact Jeff to check what to wear and any additional questions that you may have. A gown is not always needed for parades. Usually you coordinate with the other winners. (Rich only drives you and let you know when and where the parades are).
18. You are expected to help with the plans and preparation for the following years contest.
19. The winner of each contest is required to attend the festival the following year to give up her title. She is not permitted to compete until the following year after giving away her title. Her mom is asked to assist with the following years contest when needed and if willing.
21. The winner of the Little Princess is no longer eligible to compete again until she reaches the next title according to age.
22. In the case of a tie the public speaking score will be eliminated and the remaining scores will be the tie breaker.
23. Contestants must wear a party dress or evening gown appropriate for their age.
24. Attendance to the rehearsals is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED. Contestants have a lot to learn prior to the pageant, and it is in their best interest to attend. The FINAL practice is MANDITORY!
25. The winner of the Little Princess is to ride in all of the parades and attend certain functions for the Glass Festival throughout the year.
26. The pageant will be held rain or shine.
27. Parents are NOT permitted on the gazebo stage at any time during the pageant.
28. The dance is not judged. It is just for the girls to have fun.
29. The contestant numbers should be places at the front bottom left of their dresses.
30. There is NO talent competition. Please do not ask for your daughter to perform anything.
31. Please have your daughter remain on the stage area until all prizes are given out.
32. Parents….. PLEASE do not come on the stage until asked to do so by the directors. There will be ample time to get pictures. We need to get the photos for the papers and then you can get yours. Thanks for your cooperation in advance.
33. Photos should be 8X10 or smaller. They do not have to be a professional picture. They are to be enclosed in a plastic sleeve with only the first name of your daughter. **It is your responsibility to pick up your photo after the pageant. We are not responsible for damage done to any photo at any time.
